UGC Commercializes Production of Multicolor Panels Finally, this year, the Color Coating Line in coordination with the Marketing Group came out with three (3) color combinations for the newest value added product bearing the same trusted Union brand of prepainted steel galvanized panels – the Multicolor. These are the Athena (Terracotta Orange and Brown). Beatriz (Beige and Red) and Capriz (Beige and Brown). The three multicolored panels are now available in all UGC’s rollforming plants and warehouses located in major urban centers.

POLYURETHANE PANEL FORMING PLANT INAUGURATED Another milestone in the history of the Phinma/Bacnotan group was marked when Union Galvasteel Corporation (UGC), the group’s prepainted steel roofing subsidiary, inaugurated and commissioned its Polyurethane (PU) Panel Forming Plant located in Ilang, Davao City last August 30, 2008.

UGC’s Family Day - SantaCruzan One day in May 2008, the month of flowers (Flores de Mayo) was scheduled for UGC’s Family Day. May 24 was a day of fun, celebration and festivities for all Calamba based employees. Fun because of a lot of games for the young and not so old, celebration because of the good business being experienced by the company – celebration by way of a “Santacruzan” complete with the “Magdadasal” while the princesses and the Reyna Elena with their escorts along with employees and their families paraded within the community and inside the plants. And the festive occasion was full of activities – “agawan ng biik”, “palo sebo”, “merry go round”, the usual “breaking the pot”, “beer drinking etc. The fare was “binalot”, there was “sorbetes” with Mamang Sorbetero and a lot of drinks and merienda. And because of the upcoming opening of classes, children were given gifts that they can use at school.

UGC joins HUDCC National Housing Fair Union Galvasteel Corporation supports the Housing & Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) in celebration of the National Shelter Month for the year 2007. HUDCC will hold a Housing Fair on October 23 – 25, 2007 at the Mega Trade Hall 1, SM Megamall, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City. This event is one of the major projects of VP Noli De Castro, who will grace the grand opening on October 23, 2007 at 2:00pm.

UGC holds tree planting Union Galvasteel Corporation recently launched a tree planting program at the Caliraya-Lumot Watershed of the National Power Corporation in Caliraya, Laguna as a way of giving back to the community.
