UGC joins Panagbenga 2009
The Baguio Flower Festival also known as Panagbenga Festival is one of the famous and world renowned festivals in the Philippines which is being celebrated every February. At this time, the City of Pines is affected with Panagbenga fever, the city's biggest festival. Baguio is also known as "Flower Garden City of the North" ,you can see sunflowers everywhere, roses ranging from wild varieties to cultured ones, everlasting, calla lilies, staties, snapsdragons, petunias, mumps with various colors ,gladiola in all kinds of shades, daisies are among the flowers grown in Baguio. You can see these flowers adorning the floats during the Panagbenga parade.

UGC SPONSORS WIWAG BUSINESS WEEK PROGRAM AT UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN PHILIPPINES IN VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR.
In cooperation with the Education for Youth Enterprise Foundation or “EYE”, UGC sponsored a WIWAG “Business Week” program at the University of Northern Philippines, a state university located in Vigan, Ilocos Sur from February 16-20, 2009.

UGC INAUGURATES PANGASINAN ROLLFORMING PLANT
Union Galvasteel marked another milestone in its quest to become the major supplier of galvanized and prepainted steel products in North Luzon when it opened its rollforming plant and sales office in Calasiao, Pangasinan last January 19,2009. This new plant will serve the growing markets within Pangasinan and nearby provinces.

UGC Commercializes Production of Multicolor Panels
Finally, this year, the Color Coating Line in coordination with the Marketing Group came out with three (3) color combinations for the newest value added product bearing the same trusted Union brand of prepainted steel galvanized panels – the Multicolor. These are the Athena (Terracotta Orange and Brown). Beatriz (Beige and Red) and Capriz (Beige and Brown). The three multicolored panels are now available in all UGC’s rollforming plants and warehouses located in major urban centers.
